Guess who's already 1 week

This little princess is...
Can i just say what a good baby she has been.. She is so content and sleeps so good.. on average she sleeps 4 hours then wakes up for a diaper change and a bottle then right back to bed. The last 2 nights she has even slept for 5 hours straight.. AMAZING!! She's drinking 2 oz every 3-4 hours and pretty much sleeps all day.. when we left the hospital she was down to 7 lbs 6 oz.. so she had lost 9 oz.. i was trying to breast feed which i don't think she was getting much of anything, so now we are doing formula with about an oz of breast milk cause that's all i'm getting.. She eats great though!! i weighed her today and it says she weighs 8 pounds exactly.. i'm sure its off by some but atleast she's gaining.. YAY..
I love her so much and she truely makes me so happy!!

she's sleeping in her daddies arms right now and she moans while she sleeps.. most precious thing ever!! awwww

** this will be long.. so BeWaRe **

Sunday 01/23/2011
I started having 'little' contractions earlier that day, so i told bradon we needed to go for a walk or something to see if it stopped them or made them worse.. I went home and walked on the treadmill for a little while, and they stopped =(.. So we went on with our day and nothing else made me think i would be going into labor anytime soon.. That night we both we're talking to brynlee telling her that tonight would be a PERFECT night for her to come and we wanted to meet her SO bad.. My mom text me goodnight and said you better not be going into labor tonight cause i didn't get ready today... I laughed and said " i will " =)
well at about 8:30 i started to get some more contractions and a little heartburn, i took tums, had 2 glasses of milk and the heartburn pain didn't seem to subside.. It felt worse but had moved down to like my mid stomach, i seriously thought i was having a heart attack, everyone laughs but that's truely what i thought.. I toughed it out until about 12:30 a.m monday morning then just starting crying telling bradon that it hurt so bad and there was no way it was heartburn, he kept saying lets go to the hospital, i was scarred though, so i called my mom and dad and they made me call the on call dr and see what to do.. Luckily the on call dr was mine and she said i'm to far along to mess around and to go into Labor and Delivery and get checked out.. Those words freaked me out, there's no way i was having a baby today!! My mom and dad came and picked me and bradon up and took me to the hospital, the ride there felt forever, i couldn't really breath and i had sooo much pressure in my stomach/chest area, my dad kept running red lights. haha.. When we got there they took me right back and checked for contractions and checked my cervix.. The lady measured me at a 1 and 70% and having GOOD contractions from 2-6 minutes apart, that was the pain i was feeling!! So not what i thought a contraction would feel like.. So they gave me an hour to show i was in active labor and when they came back to check me i was still having contractions and was at a 2 and 80% so she said "YOUR IN LABOR AND WE'LL BE ADMITTING YOU" i seriuosly almost freaked, she then said they will come down and do your epidural and break your water to speed things up, i then looked at my mom and said " i'm having a baby today for sure" and she said "YES" oh my gosh!!!
They took me back to the room i'd deliver in and gave me my epidural, it truely wasn't bad at all!! It was so amazing and i truely recommend it to anyone that's going to have a baby! It took away all my pain and i could just relax!! My mom dad and bradon were already there with me and we then decided to call my sisters since i was for sure in labor and let them know.. They both had to work that day at 7. We called about 3 o clock and they were both there right away!! amazing family i have!! Amber can't call in so she was bummed thinking i would deliver while she was at work, little did we know.. Shirley and my dad left to go do daycare for a little and get my car with all the baby stuff since we didn't think we we're going to the hospital to have a baby!!
They popped my water and i swear that slowed things down, ahah.. my contractions slowed down and weren't as big anymore, so they hooked me up to pitocin.. Still low contractions.. Everytime they would check me i was up .5... well this was going to take FOREVER.. I got to a 4.5 and 90% and swollen and then my body pretty much stopped.. The contractions we're coming in alot harder but my cervix wasn't dilating anymore, so my dr and the nurse came in and said the horrible dreaded "c" word.. C section.. They said they'd give me 30 minutes to do anything, efface,or dilate.. My mom said give her atleast an hour but they we're set on a half.. Brynlee's heart rate went a little weird so they stopped the pitocin too. so i was a little nervous. They came back and her heart rate was normal and i went 4.5 to 90 and not swollen so they said that's good and they would turn the pitocin back on and we needed her heart rate to stay normal.. We got another nurse and she came in and said brynlee was most likely posterior and we needed her to flip so her head could put pressure on my cervix, so they flipped me on my stomach for almost 2 hours, remember i was at a 4.5 at this time.. Jessi came and i had some good talks with her, which my mom thinks helped keep my mind off things.. They came in and said i was at a 7 and brynlee flipped.. holy cow i think we we're all smiles.. we did it , we passed the dreaded 4 and i was going fast.. They came back in about and hour later and i was at a 9.. She said that first time moms usually push for an hour to 2 hours, and that brynlee wasn't all the way engaged yet so i might be pushing for a while.. YUCK.. I had a cold so breathing was terrible, they had me on oxygen cause i had a fever and that dried out my throat so i was definatly nervous to push!! She came back in about 30 minutes later and said i'm at a 10 and 100% and ready to push.. OH MY GOSH.. i did it.. no c section for me.. i was soo excited.. We did 2 practice pushes and then we got to tell all my family the good news.. They set up and we were ready to go.. I pushed for about 15 minutes, then they saw brynlees head and said i was doing amazing so she wanted me to STOP and she'd call the on call dr to come in.. So i had to wait 20 minutes for the dr to get there plus like 10 for her to get all dressed and ready to go, it was the longest 30 minutes of my life.. once i got to push again it was about 10 minutes and my beautiful baby girl was here.. It was insane the amount of pressure you still feel , the epidural was definatly getting weaker since i had it in for 20 hours, but i still didn't think i would feel what i felt, i'd say that was definatly crazy.. She was healthy as could be, they put her right on my chest and she wasn't even crying, it was crazy.. Her eyes were wide open and we just starred at eachother.. she weighed 7 lbs 15.5 oz and 21.5 inches long.. WOW way bigger then we all thought.. Everything came back amazing with her, she passed all of her test with flying colors and mommy was doing great as well..
She slept great that first night and was eating well too.. We had lots of vistors in the hospital which made the LONG days go by faster.. We love her more then words can say and can't beleive she is here..

38 wks 4 days.. 10 days left.....

Oh brynlee jo, your mommy and daddy are SOOO ready for you to come out! Your getting soo big and have no room to stretch your body anymore so you jab mommies poor ribs all day, i really think you would like it out here much better =) I can't believe we're down to 11 days. In just a couple more days we're down to single digits and that's just crazy!!

How far along: 38 wks 4 days

How Big: Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek).

Weight Gain: still up about 12.5 pounds.. i'm hoping i don't go over the 15.. that was my goal..

Stretch Marks: yup..

Maternity Clothes: Yup

Sleep: Horrible.. i really don't like to complain, but freak sleep has really been bad..

Best Moment this Week: Just getting closer and closer to b's due date!!

Food Cravings: i'm in the i want to eat everything stage of pregnancy.. hence the huge weight gain.. haha

Food dislikes: it changes daily

Gender: Brynlee Jo

Movement: yup she's getting so big

What I miss: just sleep. i know it won't get any better once she comes though.. but atleast ill have her =)

Belly Button: real shallow..

What I am looking forward to: The dr saying your having a baby today.. haha =)

Milestone: She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.

Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)

37 wks 4 days.

How far along: 37 wks 4 days

How Big: Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard).

Weight Gain: well the weight just jumped aboard, i'm up 12.5 pounds.. i gained like 3.5 pounds in a week.. don't know if that's normal. haha

Stretch Marks: yup..

Maternity Clothes: yes, and ready to ditch them.. come on B

Sleep: I'm now taking like 2 potty breaks an hour, its real bad.. i swear i get like 3-4 hours of sleep a night..

Best Moment this Week: finding out i was dilated to a 1.5 and 50% effaced already.. i go in tommorrow to see if i'm progressed any more... fingers crossed..

Food Cravings: Well today it was papa johns pizza.. i NEVER crave pizza. it was weird!

Food dislikes: it changes daily

Gender: GiRlY GiRl!!

Movement: yeah, now when she moves my whole belly moves. She's getting to big she needs to come out now.

What I miss: Just sleep.. I want my baby girl to come out so i can just cuddle up next to her..

Belly Button: real shallow..

What I am looking forward to: My appointment tommorrow.. hopefully they say i'm in labor. hahah yeah yeah

Milestone: Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)

Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Love you baby girl.. can't believe we're on the last 2 weeks then we get to meet your precious little face!!

36 wks 4 days.

How far along: 36 wks 4 days

How Big: She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long

Weight Gain: I've managed to stay between 8.5 and 9.5.. i'm liking this.. if i could stay under 15 that would be AmAzInG..

Stretch Marks: yup..

Maternity Clothes: I officially hate maternity pants, there sooo ugly and i honestly cannot wait to get out of them.. BlAh!!

Sleep: Its on and off... i can't sleep in anymore thats for sure.. i'm usually up by 8 or 9 on the weekends.. i don't think bradon is enjoying that =)

Best Moment this Week: It was new years, and my birthday.. So lots of fun with friends and family..

Food Cravings: i made some amazing chocolate chip cookeis and i really cant stop eating them..

Food dislikes: it changes daily

Gender: My princess B

Movement: Yes, i can still feel her moving..

What I miss: Normal clothes.. freak maternity clothes are ugly!! haha

Belly Button: Still the same.. i thought it would have popped by now, but still nothing..

What I am looking forward to: Tommorrow!! i get a ultra sound to check her positioning and there doing my first internal exam, a little nervous for that but it will be the start of knowing where i'm at with her coming..

Milestone: She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.

At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
